Service description
Bricklight is a software service that helps home buyers slow down and check a property before submitting an offer. We generate Reality Checks, Monthly Reality Stacks, Photo Reviews, comparison boards, and structured question lists based on information you and your team enter. The service includes the marketing site, the web app, generated reports, and email support.
Account responsibilities
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at security@bricklight.co if you suspect unauthorized access. Information you enter — addresses, budget, photos — should be accurate to the best of your knowledge; bad inputs produce bad reports.
Buyer decision support only
Bricklight is a decision-support tool. It helps you ask better questions and notice things you might miss in the rush of touring a home. It does not make offers, sign documents, hold earnest money, or transact on your behalf.
Bricklight performs no automatic offer submission, document signing, or purchase decisioning. A human must finalize a Reality Report before PDF export.
- Not a buyer agent.
- Not a lender.
- Not an inspector.
- Not an appraiser.
- Not legal, tax, financial, insurance, or real-estate advice.
No professional replacement
Bricklight is not a licensed real-estate agent, mortgage broker, lender, home inspector, structural engineer, appraiser, attorney, tax advisor, financial planner, or insurance agent. Nothing in a Bricklight report is legal, tax, financial, or professional advice. Before you sign anything, work with the appropriate licensed professionals in your state.
No guaranteed accuracy
We pull from public listings, your inputs, and third-party data sources that can be stale, incomplete, or wrong. Tax records, school boundaries, flood zones, HOA dues, and listing photos change. Bricklight does not guarantee that any specific number, label, or recommendation in a report is accurate or current. Verify anything that matters with the source (county assessor, lender, HOA, inspector).
AI outputs and limitations
Bricklight uses AI models to summarize content, draft questions, and flag concerns in photos. AI can hallucinate, misread images, miss context, and reflect biases in its training data. We label each AI-assisted finding and show what it was based on. Treat AI output as a starting point for conversation, not a verdict. Do not rely on AI output alone to make an offer, waive a contingency, or skip an inspection.
Client-specific financial inputs are stripped of PII before prompt-tuning. Raw buyer data is not fed into public LLM training sets.
User content and upload rights
You keep ownership of anything you upload (photos, PDFs, notes). You grant Bricklight a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you — generate your reports, show them in the app, and email them to your invited collaborators. We do not sell your uploads, license them to third parties, or use them to train third-party models. You promise that you have the right to upload what you upload (for example, that listing photos are shared for your personal home-buying review).
Payment, cancellation, refunds
Prices are shown on the pricing page. One-time purchases (Single Home Reality Check, Comparison Pack) are charged at checkout. Subscriptions (Buyer Journey, Agent Partner) renew monthly until cancelled from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
Refunds. If a report doesn't work for you, email support@bricklight.co within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund it, no script. Subscription refunds are prorated for the unused portion of the current month if you cancel because of a service issue we caused.
Prohibited uses
Don't use Bricklight to: violate any law; scrape listings or our outputs at scale; resell reports without a partner agreement; harass agents, sellers, or neighbors; upload content you don't have the right to share; reverse-engineer the service; or attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or sharing permissions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
