Acceptable Use Policy

Bricklight is built to help people make calmer, better-informed home-buying decisions. This policy lists the uses we will not allow, no matter who's asking. Violations can result in content removal, account suspension, or termination — and, where relevant, a report to the appropriate authorities.
Bricklight is committed to the Fair Housing Act. Our reports talk about this home — its cost, condition, commute, and fit with your routine. They do not describe, score, or filter neighborhoods by the people who live there. If you encounter output that does, please report it to support@bricklight.co so we can correct the model.

No housing discrimination
Do not use Bricklight to take, document, or justify a housing decision based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, disability, or any other class protected under the Fair Housing Act or local law.
This includes filtering neighborhoods, weighting reports, or asking Bricklight to comment on a community in ways that target a protected class. Bricklight reports describe homes, costs, commute, and physical condition — not the people who live nearby.

No protected-class inference about neighborhoods
Do not prompt the AI to infer demographics, ethnicity, religion, school "type" as a proxy for race, "safety" framed by demographics, or any other protected-class conclusion about a street, neighborhood, school, or community. If you ask anyway, the model is instructed to refuse and the request may be logged for trust-and-safety review.

Don't misrepresent Bricklight as licensed advice
Bricklight produces decision-support output. Do not represent a Bricklight report as a licensed home inspection, appraisal, mortgage advice, legal opinion, insurance binder, tax advice, or financial plan — to a seller, an agent, a lender, a court, or anyone else. Use the appropriate licensed professional for each of those.

Only upload what you have the right to use
You must have the right to upload every photo, PDF, listing scrape, inspection report, or document you bring into Bricklight. Don't upload content owned by third parties (other agents' photos, paid databases, copyrighted floor plans) without permission. Bricklight will respond to valid DMCA notices at legal@bricklight.co.

Don't harass agents, sellers, inspectors, or neighbors
Question lists generated by Bricklight are meant to help you have a better conversation, not to badger or threaten anyone. Don't send aggressive, deceptive, or repeated unwelcome messages to the agent, seller, listing agent, inspector, lender, HOA board, or neighbors based on a report. Don't post a private report publicly to shame an individual.

No scraping, abuse, or reverse engineering
Don't crawl or scrape Bricklight pages, reports, or APIs. Don't probe rate limits, bypass paywalls or share-link expirations, automate large numbers of accounts, or reverse-engineer the service. Legitimate research and bug-bounty disclosures are welcome — email security@bricklight.co first.

No malware or harmful content
Don't upload malware, exploits, illegal content, content that sexualizes minors, or content that incites violence. Don't use Bricklight to plan harm to a person or property. We remove the content and terminate accounts that do.
Enforcement
If we believe a use violates this policy, we'll usually try to reach you first. Serious or repeated violations result in immediate removal of the offending content and termination of the account. We may preserve evidence necessary to respond to legal requests or trust-and-safety investigations.

See something that looks wrong inside Bricklight — biased output, harassing share-link comment, copyrighted upload? Tell us at support@bricklight.co. We respond within two business days.
